Demographics

Demographics

Mich Affordable Rentals - Property Manager

Lansing has a fairly diverse population with about 60% Caucasians, 25% African Americans, and 12.5% Hispanics or Latinos. The city is usually characterized by four sections: Eastside, Westside, Northwestside, and the Southside. The Eastside mainly consists of foreign-born citizens and is very diverse due to this. The Westside is a largely residential area and is the most economically diverse section with many wealthy residents living near the downtown area. The Northwestside is a mix of suburban and urban areas and is home to a number of industries. The Southside is filled with shops but still has a largely suburban area. When looking for an apartment take into consideration the location of the apartment within the city.
