Massachusetts Apartments For Rent - Property Manager

Springfield is currently served by Amtrak, Greyhound, Peter Pan, and the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) for their public transportation. The PVTA bus lines can take residents around the city, and also provide routes out of Springfield to neighboring suburbs. The other three provide service to other cities, such as Boston or New York City, with some stops in between. There is a commuter rail in the works called the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield line that will connect Springfield with the nearby Connecticut cities. This is expected to be completed around 2014.

In Springfield, the number of owned properties and rented properties are practically identical. There are 29,720 owned properties and 29,427 rented properties. But when you look at the housing market and the vacancies, there are considerably more rentals on the market. This is tough to measure, but in 2010 an official report showed that there were five times more rentals than for sale properties on the market.
