Newton currently has six parks that allow dogs off-leash, permitting that the owner has been issued an off-leash permit for their dog. Some of the parks allow dogs to be off-leash during all open hours, but some have certain hours that the dogs are allowed--you will have to check the city’s website to find out specific hours. Three of the parks have listed fenced in areas that are specifically made for dogs, offering a safe place for your dog to run around and play with other dogs. There are currently two large apartment complexes that allow cats, small dogs, and large dogs that are in Newton and many more that are located just outside the city.
