As of May, 2012 Arlington is now has an off-leash dog recreation area that is located at Thorndike Field. Dogs are also allowed on-leash at the other parks in Arlington, allowing owners to walk their dogs through the woods or along the ponds and streams. Menotomy Rocks Parks offers a great place to walk your dog through the woods and then swim in the Hills Pond. The city is also home to a number of pet stores and many apartment complexes in Arlington are pet friendly.
