Public Transportation
Aolania Kealoha - Property Manager
Honolulu’s “The Bus” is a bus system that has received several awards over the years, and provides 107 routes to the community. Because of TheBus, Honolulu ranks in the top 5 for mass transit ridership in the U.S. (per capita). The city just created a new committee to oversee public transportation development in the area in 2010, and construction has begun on a 20 mile rail line that will bridge the city and its neighboring communities. Public transit will undoubtedly be a large part of the city’s future, which will benefit renters greatly.
Nightlife
Aolania Kealoha - Property Manager
Live music has been a huge part of the city’s culture for years. Some of the best venues to catch a show are the Hawaii Theater, the Waikiki Shell and the Neal Blaisdell Center. The Honolulu Symphony was founded over a hundred years ago in 1900 and is one of the oldest in America. Art is also another huge area of pride for the community. See for yourself at the Bishop Museum, which is the largest in the city and contains natural history -- including many Hawaiian artifacts. The Contemporary Museum and the Honolulu Museum of Art are also two great institutions. Additionally, there are too many great nightclubs and lounges in the city to even name, as well as bars and restaurants. You’ll have something to do every day of the year in Honolulu, thanks to the city’s warm weather and the numerous things to do here.
