There is no shortage of recreational amenities here in Jacksonville Beach. You should be able to tell from the name what the best recreation the city offers is -- the coastline and its sandy beaches. There are tons of places to lie down and tan, surf, or take kids to build sand castles on a sunny day. In addition to the beaches, there are eight great parks maintained by the city, and a fishing pier that goes out nearly a quarter of a mile into the ocean. If it’s sunny out, take a fishing rod here, and if it’s too hot, jump in the ocean.
