FBI reports had Stockton as the tenth most dangerous city in the U.S. However, to say that all of Stockton is that dangerous just isn’t true. Yes, there are problem areas but there are also friendly communities. If you meet with a real estate agent they can guide you to the right neighborhood, or you can even find crime maps online that will show you which parts of towns are safe and which aren’t.

The people of Stockton hold swaths of events every year, and are big on celebrating the city’s history, as well as national holidays. There are international and children film festivals, and ethnic festivals to celebrate Greek, Italian, Jewish, Cambodian, Chinese, and Filipino cultures. Also, I couldn’t forget about the St. Patrick’s Day or Earth Day festivals (two very different festivals, believe me), or the Light Festival, or Jazzfest. Stockton is seemingly always hosting city events on the weekend, and they’re very fun! They have definitely helped in the revitalization of downtown.
