Golden State Rentals and Leasing - Property Manager
The North County Transit District (NCTD) has done a lot in improving the area’s public transit options in recent years. In 2008, they opened a new light rail service with the lines “Breeze,” “Sprinter,” and “Coaster.” The Sprinter line has a station in San Marcos, providing easy access to Escondido and Oceanside, with thirteen stops at communities in between. The NCTD also provides a bus service to the San Marcos area. They have lines that run to nearby areas like Escondido and Vista, or residents can simply use the buses to get around San Marcos.

San Marcos is home to a California State University campus with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. Do you know what that means? Wherever there’s students, there’s apartments! The only thing is, not all rentals are strictly “student housing.” Anyone can live in these properties; I’ve had a lot of clients who hit the housing market at the same time as students and came out with a great rental at a low price. Right now there are dozens of San Marcos listings on this site, and I would recommend checking them out sooner rather than later. In a market with such a large student population, listings come and go every day.
