Roseville is home to the Marco Dog Park, Bear Dog Park, and the Hughes Park, all of which are off-leash designate areas for dogs. The Marco Dog Park has 1.5 acres of open space and plenty of shaded areas and includes a water and wash station. The Bear Dog Park is a two acre park with separate small and large dog areas and an agility park, walking trails, and a number of benches. Hughes Park is a larger city park that also has a 1.5 acre dog park with separate large and small dog areas and a dog training enclosure. Although Roseville has these three dog parks, the city is very strict about dog rules and does not allow dogs in the majority of the city parks. The dogs are allowed in designated areas of the bike and walking trails and in some other open spaces, but these spaces are marked clearly with signs saying dogs are permitted.

For people that love to shop, Roseville may be the right place to rent due to the large number of retail stores, malls, and other shopping centers. The main shopping center is the Westfield Galleria at Roseville which is home to a number of large retail stores, high-end stores, and restaurants. Across the street the Fountains at Roseville is home to local boutiques, a few higher end stores, and many more restaurants. For those looking for a less expensive day out or something a little more adventurous residents can ride along the Roseville Bikeways, which consist of on-road and off-road bikeways that pass through the greater Roseville area. The Roseville Aquatics Complex is another great place for residents and has an Olympic swimming pool, a waterslide, and a children's splash zone.
