The ratio of female to male residents is almost exactly 50/50. The largest age group in North Hills is those between 25 and 39, making up 25% of the population. This is followed in a close second by the 40-64 year olds at 24%, 7-18 year olds make up 20%, those 6 years or younger are 13% of the population, and the 19-24 year olds are tied with those 65 years and older at 9%. 54% of housing units are occupied by homeowners, while 46% rent. 57% of the community was reported by the same statistics as employed, 38% were not in the labor force, and 5% were unemployed. The majority of the population consists of married couples; 34% with children and 23% without children, and 15% are individuals living alone.
