There are a slew of vacant rentals in Moreno Valley right now, so if you’re thinking of renting here, they’re yours for the taking! I should mention that there’s a good number of properties that are under $1000/month, which is a great deal for the area. Of course, if you want a rental with more bedrooms, bathrooms, or amenities, the cost will probably be over a thousand. I would highly recommend you take a look at the listings on this site; I just counted them and there are over 70 of them in Moreno Valley right now. All this variety means you can be selective, which is something every renter desires.

Moreno Valley’s violent and property crime rates are around the average for the state of California and the U.S., meaning that it doesn’t have very high crime, but it’s not low either. If I were you I’d try to stay away from the Belvedere Heights, Edgemont, Sunnymead, and Moreno neighborhoods. These communities are in the southern, southwestern, and western area of the city. The northern part of the city (Ironwoods Avenue/Redlands Boulevard) and eastern part (Ordway/El Casco) are arguably the safest areas. You can use the rental map feature on this site to find a property that is in one of those neighborhoods.
