Chatsworth has an abundance of great restaurants. There is something in all varieties, for every taste. Fine dining isn’t quite as available as good local food, but there are a few places that provide an upscale experience. Italian is often a meal dedicated to occasions, and Angelo’s Ristorante Italiano will provide that. Angelo himself as well as his wife work in this family owned, authentic restaurant. There are around ten Japanese places in Chatsworth; Honshu Sushi is the most popular. It serves beer and wine only and has a great variety of sushi as well as non-sushi Japanese fare. There are easily twenty Mexican restaurants in this neighborhood; Los Toros is the best for a nice sit down meal with some inexpensive margaritas, and for a quick burrito or otherwise, Villanueva Mexican Grill is good fast food Mexican. For a nice, homestyle American meal, Mimi’s cafe is a local gem that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Habit is a great fast food joint to grab a burger, and for an enormous sandwich and other quick American style bites, Brent’s Delicatessen is perfect. There are around 150 more options, plenty to choose from in Chatsworth.

Granada Hills has lots to offer in terms of recreation. A bit surprising for a neighborhood in one of the largest cities in the country, the landscape provides much of the enjoyment. O’Melveny Park has a developed section with organized trees, a stream, and picnic area, as well as undeveloped hiking trails that ultimately offer a superb view of the San Fernando Valley. Mario De Compos trails and Mission Point, which leads to the highest point in Granada Hills, both have excellent hiking trails. Brand Park Memory Garden is a beautifully developed park, and Forneris Farms offers outdoor fun like a corn maze and petting zoo area. Strong Art gallery is also located in Granada Hills, as is a movie theater and batting cages, as well as children’s entertainment in Kids Play and Dance World and Chuck E Cheese. Granada Hills recreation center also has sports fields, picnic area, playground and auditorium.
