About MyApartmentMap
MyApartmentMap.com is a web application that uses Google Maps and publicly available apartment listings to create a unique way to find apartments. Several times a day apartments are downloaded, archived, and plotted on MyApartmentMap. The apartments are processed, grouped, and sorted to provide you with the most efficient display of apartment listings.
MyApartmentMap was started when [one of the developers of the site] was looking for a new apartment in Boston, MA. He didn't have a car, so he wanted to view apartments that were near specific subway and commuter train stations. He released a crude site with limited options that only displayed apartments in Boston. Since then, MyApartmentMap has been slowly upgraded to add new features, new cities and a new design.

The Technology
The backend of MyApartmentMap is written in Python and runs on CentOS, a flavor ot the linux operating system. The front end is written in PHP and Javascript.
